Vision of Heritage Alliance for 2008
1. To work to make empowering our leaders the best quality characteristic of our overall church health. This means helping train, equip, encourage and maintain good relationships between the leaders of ministries, leaders of small groups and the governing leadership of the church. This will be a priority of ministry for me as the pastor.
2. To stimulate the prayer ministry of the church by continuous promotion of prayer meetings, intercessory prayer ministries and small group prayer involvement. There is a weekly prayer meeting at the church on Saturday mornings at 7 a.m. This is for anyone, men, women, children, anyone who wants to join in a corporate prayer experience to intercede for the church, for missionaries and for the issues of the nation. We pray for the hour and dismiss promptly at 8 a.m.
3. To promote 2 Encounter Weekends and one Youth Encounter. This weekend is designed to equip believers in spiritual warfare. You learn your value and position in Christ, your biblical authority in Christ, and how to minister to yourself and others through prayer and Scripture. It is a significant weekend of liberation, renewal, and encouragement. Encounter has long lasting impact, not typical "mountain top" highs with no long term benefit.
4.To re-emphasize our responsibility as believers to be faithful witnesses for Christ in our lifestyle, and by word. I pray that we will see 10 people pray to receive Christ and begin the journey this year. This represents 5% growth of our church. You will be asked to pray that God open doors of opportunity to serve the community resulting in the salvation of 10 people this next year.
